The Wheelchair Athlete

This site is dedicated to you, not really about you but really INSPIRED by you, so expect more from us as we grow and expand offerings. Please let us know who you are and what you need so that as we develop around your needs we can keep you posted.

Our mission is to help athletes work through injury/recovery/pain issues and overcome challenges so that we can stay in competition…and WIN. When you train and compete it is not only helping you but also those around you – even if you don’t see it or hear it. So we care about supporting you in your athletic endeavors.

We are in the early stages around being able to provide what you need so please check back and don’t hesitate to make suggestions or requests.

What we can share for now is what we’ve learned in dealing with our own setbacks and especially from the Elite athletes we know and the Sports Medicine providers – our Performance Pros – who help us all perform our best. We know that we can’t ignore a few basic things – so let’s start here:

  • Hydration – don’t do anything athletic without it
  • Proper Warm-up and Stretching
  • Stability work
  • Core Work
  • Fuel for hard working tissues, including your brain
  • Stress & Pain Management (don’t forget laughter!)
  • Sleep

If you don’t have these things dialed in and need some guidance, then we can help. If you aren’t sure you want to push yourself to be athletic or competitive…don’t want to believe that things like this have to be a part of your routine to challenge & conquer your foes…then we may not be your best resource. But our guess is that you’re here because you know you’ll do whatever it takes to STAY IN THE GAME, even when it’s not easy or it hurts.

We have some great tools and will be adding more specific to your needs, so please ask if you don’t see what you need – and that goes for professionals who support and treat athletes like yourself. Our network is broad and our providers ROCK when it comes to helping you recover faster, manage pain and elevate your game where you want it to go.

Don’t hold back!
